such traits which engenders in one 's body in response to the environment are acquired but inherited traits are the characters. as a result of change in genetic makeup of an organism . if we cuut the tails of mice say till 21 generation s their progeny would still have their respective tails .....

Acquired trait ---> An organism acquires during its life time. It is not present in the genetic makeup of an individual. Its is not inheritable. Change in DNA will not result in any change in such trait. For example :- Body height.

Inherited traits ----> An organism inherits from its predecessors. It is present in the genetic make up. It is inheritable. Change in DNA will bring about change in such traits. For example :- Blood group
