According to this settlement , the farmers were made owners of the land and they were given the status of zamindars. The peasants had to give 10% to the government from the total production of the land.
MERITS :
When the zamindars were made the owners of the land they put more labour which led to an increase in agricultural production and in trade.
DEMERITS :
The zamindars got land but the government also had to suffer a loss because the income was fixed but the expenses was increasing day by day .
