Mode of heat transfer in following conditions:

(a) A paper cup, full of hot soup, lying on a table - "Convection mode of heat transfer".

  • In this procedure, heat is moved in the fluid and gases from region of "higher temperature to lower temperature".
  • Convection happens incompletely because of the real development of atoms or because of the mass exchange.

(b) "Melting of chocolate", in the school bag, on a hot summer day – "Radiation mode of heat transfer".

  • It is the procedure wherein heat is moved starting with one body then onto the next body without including the particles or the medium.
  • Radiation does not depend upon medium.
