If A and B any two events in S then
i ) P( A cap B ) = P( A ) × P( B/A )
If P( A ) ≠ 0
ii ) P( A cap B ) = P( B ) × P( A/B )
If P( B ) ≠ 0
Here ,
A cap B means A intersection B.
