actually human eye belongs to general group of eye found in nature called as camera type eyes. cornea of the eye focuses light onto a light sensitive membrane called the retina

so lens of eye is the transparent structure behind the iris. lens bend the light rays to form clear image.

lens is elastic it can change its shape
it is biconvex structure
