Hey friend! Here is my attempt to the question ✍️

The Green Revolution was aimed at increasing global food supply.

The primary mission of the Green Revolution was to improve the production of wheat and rice -- two high-yield plants.

And it was really a success.
Wheat and rice almost doubled between the 60s and 90s.

But it cast negative impacts aslo .

Use of Modern agricultural techniques and management entailed use heavy doses of fertizers , pesticides and irrigation facilities. It had negative impact on soil-composition , microorganisms .

Moreover the use fewer varieties also had negative impact because traditional way of cropping had freedom to try any variety.

Depletion of stratospheric ozone, nitrate toxication etc led to environmental degradation and health hazards like cancer, methamoglobinemia respiratory illness, hypertension etc

And we can not hesitate in saying that food quality also sufferwd from use of heavy dose of fertilizers

We can say that Green Revolution was a boon with many negative effects.
