According to ohm's law, in a conductor , the current flowing (I) is directly proportional to the voltage (V) and inversely proportional to the resistance (R) .

I = V/R

or,. V = IR

unit of voltage is Volt(V)

and unit of electric current is ampere (A)

R = V /I

R = V/A

so, unit of resistance is Volt per ampere which is also ohm
