1) insulator ------------ total resistance , current wont pass through it

2)a semiconductor--------comparatively more resistance than metals

3) metals------------------- least resistance , it allows most of current to pass though it

The order of resistivity in ascending order is , Insulator > Semiconductor > Metal.

- There are three types of electricity conducting materials :

1) Insulator

2) Semiconductor

3) Metal

- Insulators are the worst conductors of electricity because they have the largest amount of resistivity among all.

- Semiconductors have medium amount of electricity conductivity because they have less resistance than the insulators but greater resistivity than the metals.

- Metals are the best conductors of electricity because they have the most less amount of resistance.
