The physical quantity which is equal to the ratio of potential difference and current is RESISTANCE. R = V/I.
Resistance R is a constant of the conductor at a given temperature.

The resistance of a conductor is a property of the conductor due to which it resists the flow of electric charge through it.
•If the resistance is doubled the current gets halved.
•if the resistance is halved, the current gets doubled.

The SI unit of resistance is ohm which is denoted by the symbol Ω( Omega).

•1Ω is the resistance of a conductor when a potential difference of 1 volt is applied to its ends , a current of 1 ampere flows through it.
