When an unbalanced force acts on an object, it causes the object to move. It sets the object in motion. If the object is already in motion, the speed and the direction (not always) of the object will change.

Answer:

an unbalanced force. There is a greater force being applied to one side of the object when compared to the opposite side. This object will have a change in motion because of the unequal force.
