a)If one is inside the house, he/she should,

1. Get under a secure object such as table and hold one of its legs.
2. Try to stay away from heavy objects on cupboard that can fall(trunks, heavy flower vase on tables,etc.).
3. If in a public place, do not try to rush through the exit as it cause a stampede and never get into a lift.
4. Stay away from windows and glass objects and do not try to leave until shaking stops.

b) If one is outdoors, he/she should,

1. Stay away from electric poles,trees, buildings and get into an open area.
2. Stay until shaking stops and if you are in a vehicle then get out of it.
