Hey,
An electric generator works on theprinciple of Faraday's law of electromagnetic induction. Faraday's law of electromagnetic induction states that “whenever a current carrying conductor are placed in the magnetic field, then a flux is induces in the circuit due to which a current start to flow in the rotor also.

Principle of electric generator:
- Electricity is produced in generators when a coil is rotated between magnetic fields by the principle of electromagnetic induction explained by Faraday.
- This law states that a magnetic field on interaction with a conductor or circuit produces electromagnetic force (EMF).
- This law is helpful in understanding the working principle of generators and motors.
- Generators are of two types, DC and AC generators.
- DC generator gives direct power whereas AC generator gives alternating power.
