Magnetic separation is a process of separation that can be used to separate substances that are attracted to a magnet like a mixture of iron fillings and chalk powder , here one element is magnetic while other is not so this technique is applicable here .by using a magnet the iRon fillings being magnetic will stick to the magnet and chalk powder will remain
