distillation under reduced pressure :

certain liquid have a tendency to decomposes at their boiling points. Such liquids cannot be purified by ordinary distillation l. We know that the boiling point of a liquid is the temperature at which the pressure on its surface is equal to the atmospheric pressure. this means that if the pressure on the surface of liquid is reduced then it can be made to boil at lower temperature. thus the liquid which decompose their melting point can be purified at comparatively low temperature by carrying out their distillation under reduced pressure.

Answer:    Distillation performed under reduced pressure

Explanation:     Vacuum distillation is distillation performed under reduced pressure, which allows the purification of compounds not readily distilled at ambient pressures or simply to save time or energy. This technique separates compounds based on differences in boiling points.
