There are many affects and problems caused due to excessive use of plastics :

1. Littering and throwing the plastic substances on open lands creates unhygienic conditions which acts as breeding ground for insects and mosquitoes which leads to many diseases

2. As plastic takes a lot of time to decompose in soil may lead to soil erosion

3. Animals also die when these plastic substances are consumed

4.When plastic is burnt in air it releases toxic substances which is harmful for the organisms and this gas is also harmful for the environment

5. When these plastic substances enter into drainage and sewage system, they block the pipes and drains which leads to wayerlogging

6. Plastic items are thrown in rivers and water bodies which leads to water pollution and animals also die when swallowed due to suffocation

7. The waste from the plastic industries is thrown directly into water bodies which leads to water pollution

8. By all these finally we can say that it causes a lot of damage and distroy our earth.
