,

phosphoric acid is produced by reacting sulfuric acid (H2SO4) with naturally occurring phosphate rock. The reaction also forms calcium sulfate (CaSO4), commonly referred to as gypsum. The insoluble gypsum is separated from the reaction solution by filtration.

The acid {\rm{H_{3}PO_{4}}} is prepared by the action of Acidic oxides (also called anhydrides) dissolve in water to give acids, or by the action of water in non-metals or acidic oxides.

When {\rm{P_{2}O_{5}}} reacts with {\rm{3H_{2}O{}}}, the product or acid which is formed is {\rm{2H_{3}PO_{4}}}.

On mixing {\rm{P_{2}O_{5}}} with {\rm{3H_{2}O{}}} the Phrosphsoric acid is formed.

Acids are defined as the compounds which contains one or more hydrogen atoms when dissolved in water, produces hydronium ions ( {\rm{H_{3}O^{+}}}), the only positively charged ion
