Following are the properties of vector addition .

1) vector addition is commutative .
e.g if two vector A and B ,then,
A + B = B + A

2) vector addition is associative .
e.g if three vector A , B and C then,
( A + B ) + C = A + ( B + C)

3) additive identity .
let two vector A and second is null vector O then,
A + 0 = A

4) additive inverse .
let any vector A,
so, negative vector of its = - A then,
A + ( -A) = 0
[ Note :- negative vector of any vector is additive inverse. ]

5) Triangular property .
if two vectors A and B given then,
| A + B | ≤ | A | + | B|
and | A - B | ≥ | | A | - | B | |

✴️The commutative law, which states the order of addition doesn't matter:

a+b=b+a.

This law is also called the parallelogram law, as illustrated in the below image. Two of the edges of the parallelogram define a+b, and the other pair of edges define b+a. But, both sums are equal to the same diagonal of the parallelogram.

✴️The associative law, which states that the sum of three vectors does not depend on which pair of vectors is added first:
