a) Graphite is used in making electrodes because it is a good conductor of electricity due to the presence of free electrons. One valence electron of each carbon atom remains free and thus it is a good conductor of electricity.

b) Electric wires are made up of materials like copper, that conduct electricity well.While dealing with the wires we can get electric shock. To prevent this, the wires are coated with material like Plastic, which do not conduct electricity.

c) Alloys have improved and unique property of hardness and sonorosity. Also , alloys have excellent ductility. Therefore metal alloys are used for making bells and strings of instruments. For example: bronze is used for making bells and stringed instruments.
