. State the reasons for the following :
(1) (1, 2, 3, ... 10) ≠ {x / x ∈ N and 1 < x < 10}
(2) (2, 3, 5, 7, 9) ≠ {x / x is a prime number}

Answer:

(1) Here the set 1 to 10 between 1 and then as the set builder form given for it.

But it contains 1 and 10 also so it is not equal to the give set builder form

So this is not equal to the given rooster form

(2) Here according to the set builder form they have given x such that a prime number.

But here in the given rooster form 9 is given so however 9 is not a prime number

So even this is not belongs to the given rooster form.

Hope this helps u....!!!!
