force is related to momentum as force = rate of change of momentum.
Knowing the amount of force and the length of time that force is applied to an object will tell you the resulting change in its momentum. They are related by the fact thatforce is the rate at which momentum changes with respect to time (F = dp/dt). Note that if p = mv and m is constant, then F = dp/dt = m*dv/dt = ma.

According to the second law of motion, the change of momentum of an object also called force which is given by mass times acceleration. Momentum changes with the change in velocity whereas force changes with the change in acceleration. The longer a force is applied, the larger the momentum is.
