The basic relationship between current through a conductor , the charge and the time taken is as follows ;
We can say that the current flowing through a conductor is the rate of flow of charge through a particular cross-section of the conductor.
Additional information :
In normal conditions , electrons move haphazardly inside a conductor. But upon application of a Potential Difference , the electrons start drifting from the negative electrode to the positive electrode.
This kind of motion is called Drifting and the velocity is called Drift Velocity.
