The religious policy of Shilahars is to divide their ruling into different divisions or branches which finally got split into three different ones.

Those are south Konkan, north Konkan, and the Satara.

This got established by itself and later Avasara continued the same policy as his father did.

Some of this dynasties glands still mention that Shilaharas capital is Valavada instead of Kohlapur.
