The reproductive parts of the flower are as follows :-
- Sepal : It forms the outermost part of the flower which green in colour. Calyx is the collection of all the sepals in the plant.
- Petals : It consists of second whorl of the flower. They are bright in colour so that insects could be attracted towards them for the purpose of pollination. All petals, collectively are called Corolla.
- Stamen : The male reproductive part of the flower is considered as Stamen. Each stamen contains thik with the a bag of anther attached to it. Anther has pollen grains which consists of male gametes. Two male gametes are produced by each pollen grain. The combination of all the stamens is known as Androecium.
- Carpel ( also known as Pistal ) : The female reproductive part of the flower is known as Carpel. It contains Stigma which is sticky at the tip. It also has a large and narrow tubule called Style and base which is swollen, called Ovary. Ovary consists of smaller particles caller Ovules. The eggs ( female gametes ) are stored inside the ovules.
