1) Digestive enzymes :- Every part of the digestive system has it's own digestive enzyme which is use to digest food or break it down into simplest form.
some digestive enzymes are ◆salivary amylase,
◆pepsin,
◆rennin &
◆gastric lipase.


2) Hydrochloric acid:-
◆it is use to kill bacteria present in food and
◆helps to convert inactive pepsinogen into pepsin.
◆It helps in digestion of milk protein.


3) villi:- it is a finger like projection which helps to absorb nutrients from digested food.
since it increases the surface area for digestion (absorption)

Hydrochloric acid is secreted by the sub mucosal epithelium of stomach and make the medium acidic for gastric enzyme action on the chyme it also activated pepsinogen into pepsin . villi is a finger like projection of mucosal epithelium of small intestine and increase the absorptive surface area of digested food.
