Answer:

The Second Law of Thermodynamics states that the state of entropy of the entire universe, as an isolated system, will always increase over time. The second law also states that the changes in the entropy in the universe can never be negative.

Second law of thermodynamics is stated in different forms :-

\mathsf{} (1) It is impossible to construct a machine working in cycles which transforms heat from a lower temperature region to higher temperature region without the intervention of any external agency. Such a machine is called perpetual motion machine of second kind ( that is not possible )

(2) All spontaneous processes are thermodynamically Irreversible and entropy of the system increases in all spontaneous processes

Eg :- All natural processes are spontaneous

A volatile liquid placed in a vessel vaporizers at any temperature without the intervention of any external agency. therefore vaporization of a volatile liquid is spontaneous as per second law of thermodynamics
