State the steps involved in the nutrition of Amoeba and compare the same with Paramecium ?

Amoeba performs Holozoic mode of nutrition .In this mode of nutrition amoeba it contains some steps.such as Ingestion , Digestion ,Absorbtion, Assimilation ,Egestion.

1. Ingestion- Amoeba does not have a fixed mouth.so , whenever food comes near to it it creates a temporary  muth called pseudopodia and makes a vacuole around it.
2. Digestion- Digestion takes place inside the vacuole by digestive enzymes .by breaking the food
3. Absorbtion - The digestive food is absorbed by the process of diffusion.
4. Assimilation -in this the new daughter cells are reproduced.
5. Egestion -in this the undigested food is thrown out
