Conditions necessary for Combustion There are three conditions which are necessary for combustion to take place.

1. Presence of a combustible substance. That
is, a substance which can burn.

2.Presence of a supporter of combustion like presence of oxygen in air.

3.Heating the combustible substance to its ignition temperature.

If any of these conditions is not met, combustion does not take place.
