Creative problem solving is a way of using your creativity to develop new ideas and solutions to problems. The process is based on separating divergent and convergent thinking styles so that you can focus your mind on creating at the first stage , and then evaluating at the second stage.

Two approaches :

  • Define the problem - This is often where people struggle. They react to what they think the problem is. Instead, seek to understand more about why you think there's a problem.
  • Look at the potential causes of the problem - It's amazing how much you don't know about what you don't know. Therefore, in this phase , it's critical to get input from other people who notice the problem and who are affected by it .
