i) when magnesium wire is burned in the air it results in forming magnesium oxide.

The chemical equation for this chemical reaction is this :-

2Mg(magnesium)+O2(oxygen)⇒2MgO(magnesium oxide)

The above reaction is a Synthesis Reaction

ii) when electric current is passed through water it breaks down into two elements hydrogen and oxygen.

The chemical equation for this chemical reaction is :-

2H2O(water)⇒2H2(hydrogen)+O2(oxygen)

The above reaction is a decomposition reaction

iii) when ammonia is mixed in hydrogen chloride it results in forming ammonium chloride.

The chemical equation for this chemical reaction is :-

NH3(ammonia)+HCl(hydrogen chloride)⇒NH4Cl(ammonium chloride)

The above reaction is a Combination reaction.
