The SI unit of newton

The unit of force in CGS system is called as Dyne (d). It is the forcerequired to deliver an acceleration of 1 cm/s to a body of mass 1 g. Dyne is the CGS unit of force, this determines its definition: it is the force which accelerates a mass of one gram at the rate of one centimeter per second per second.
