F = G M m /d²

The gravitational force of attraction between two bodies of masses M and m  d is proportional to the masses and inversely proportional to the square of the distance d between them.
The constant of proportionality G is called the Universal gas constant.

This law is used to find G.
This law is used to find the acceleration due to gravity more accurately, on the surface and in an orbit above the Earth's surface.

Gravitational law is used to understand the orbits of Moon and other planets.  The escape velocity for space crafts, thrust required to move a satellite or space craft is known using this law.
