(a). Cartridge fuses are used to protect electrical appliances such as motors air-conditions, refrigerator, pumps etc, where high voltage rating and currents required. They are available up to 600A and 600V AC and widely used in industries, commercial as well as home distribution panels.

(b)A miniature circuit breaker (MCB) automatically switches off the electrical circuit during an abnormal condition of the network means in overload condition as well as faulty condition. Nowadays we use an MCB in a low voltage electrical network instead of a fuse. ... MCB is much more sensitive to overcurrent than a fuse.

(c) DC generator They are used for general lighting. They are used to charge battery because they can be made to give constant output voltage. They are used for giving the excitation to the alternators. They are also used for small power supply (such as a portable generator)
