The various functions which are performed by a political party are:-
1.They form the government if they are elected in an election and take the major decisions.
2.They form main policies and programme
3.They form the opposition party and shape the public opinion by raising issues which the government has taken.
4.They are accountable for the whole country not for any state of province or constituency.
5. Organise and persuade people to elect them.
