(a) AN INTERNATIONAL MITILARY TRIBUNAL AT NUREMBERG WAS SET UP TO PROSECUTE NAZI WAS CRIMINALS FOR CRIMES AGAINST PEACE, FOR WAR CRIMES AND CRIMES AGAINST HUMANITY.

(b) ALLIES WERE NOT IN FAVOUR OF THE HARSH PUNISHMENT AGAINST GERMANY BECAUSE THEY FELT THAT IT WOULD REPEAT GERMAN EXPERIENCE AS AFTER THE 1ST WORLD WAR.
