The verdict of the Nuremberg tribunal was that international military tribunal issued the verdict against those who supported Nazis at Nuremberg. So it sentenced to death 12 Nazi officials who were involved in the crimes that happened during Nazi rule.

The Allies avoided harsh punishment on Germany because they didn’t want to impose harsh punishment on Germans as they did during the Treaty of Versailles which led to Hitler’s rise to power.
