MASS

•Mass of a substance is the amount of matter contained in it

•Mass is measured by an analytic balance

•Mass is a scalar quantity, has only magnitude of its measure

•Mass is measured in Kilograms

•Mass=Force/Acceleration

WEIGHT:

•Weight is the force of attraction of an object towards the centre of Earth

•Weight is weighed using a spring balance

•Weight is a vector, has both direction and magnitude

•SI unit of weight is Newton(N)

•Weight=Mass×Acceleration due to gravity
