The resistance of a wire depends upon the following factors:

(i) Length:- resistance of wire is directly proportional to its length. R directly proportional to L.

(ii) Area of cross section:- resistance R of a wire is inversely proportional to the area of cross section.

(iii) Temperature:- with increase temperature, the resistance of wire increases as collision within the wire increase and slow the flow of current.
