The expt is to verify Ohm's law. i.e. V = IR
β Precautions -
- Copper wire should be used for connection with insulation removed at ends.
- Remember to connect voltmeter in parallel and ammeter in series.
- Avoid passing current through wire for long time az it may produce heat.
- Resistance of rheostat must be minimal.
- Before start of expt, zero pointer of ammeter & voltmeter must be confirmed.
