properties of electric lines of force

1).they do not form any closed loops.

2).they do not intersect with each other.

3).electric lines of force do not pass through the conductors.

4).they originate from positive charge and terminates on the negative charge.

2 electric lines of force do not intersect each other.because if 2 electric lines of force intersect then at the point of intersection there will be two different tangential direction which is not possible.hence, two electric lines of force cannot intersect..

hope it helps.

Answer:

Tangent to any electric lines of field gives the direction of net electric field at that point. If the two lines intersect, there will be two tangents and thus two directions of net electric field at that point which is not possible. So, two electric field lines do not intersect each other.
