In order to control and maintain the German society, along with the existing general police force, the three best-known forces of Nazi's are the Gestapo, the Sturmabteilung (SA), and the Sicherheitsdienst (SD).
The most feared protection unit of the Nazi state was the Gestapo. This unit had the power to review cases of treason, spying, sabotage and illegal attacks on the Nazi Party and Germany.
The Sturmabteilung (SA) was formed in 1920, this was the first of many paramilitary security units that worked to guard Nazi officials.
Sicherheitsdienst (SD) was formed in the year 1931; this was the secret bureau of the SS and the Nazi Party in Nazi Germany.
