Conductors conduct electrical current very easily because of their free electrons.

Insulators oppose electrical current and make poor conductors.

Some common conductors are copper, aluminum, gold, and silver.

Some common insulators are glass, air, plastic, rubber, and wood.

hope its helpful for you

uses of conductor

it is used to carry current as the purpose of carrying current

used for making devices

used for making short circuit

insulator

it is used as protective cover against current

it is also used in devices manly to safe devices from external sock

it is also bad conductor of heat so used in pressure cooker as a handle .

three methods of heat transfer are

conduction = transfer of heat from one atom to another .(generally involve solid )

convection = transfer of heat from one molecule to another .(generally inbolve liquid)

Radiation = transfer of heat between two body between them there should be a gap having a medium like air ,or other gasses.

eg Sun
