Solid =(1) They have less kinetic energy

(2) they are fluid in nature

Liquid= (1) They have more kinetic energy

(2) They have indefinite shape but definite volume

Gases=(1)=They have maximum kinetic energy

(2)= They have indefinite shape and indefinite volume

1. SOLID

a) Solids have rigid structure and its shape cannot be changed but when force is applied it breaks.

b) They have strong molecular force between their molecules.

2. LIQUID

a) They do not have a fixed shape and take the shape of that container in which it is put and they can flow.

b) They have large intermolecular space between their particles.

3. GASES

a) They can be compressed and have no definite shape and volume.

b) They have a very weak molecular force of attraction between the particles.
