Community means to serve together. people having common ideas and interests . like village

Association is a group of people meet for certain purposes . They have rules and regulations . like flood relief association.

Association is the one where people go because they actually want to go and share a mutual interest.

In this, a group of people share common projects and contacts.

In a community, people don’t have any common interest but they happen to be there.

This basically depends on the people who survive in the same geographical area.
