1) when we push a wall the force is applied but the wall does not move and hence no work is done
2) when your are carrying your bag and holding and standing it you may be applying energy but the bag does. otherwise .over and hence no work is done.

No dude look you may be applying torce to lift it up but while you are standing and you have already lifted up u require energy to lift it till you want so u apply but no work is done the bag does not move
