Since, potential energy (P.E.) = mgh, where m is mass of the object, g is the acceleration due to gravity and h is the height to which the object rise.

So, the two factors on which potential energy depends are (i) Mass of the object and (ii) Height to which the object rise.

Here, we'll not include g as it will be same throughout the earth as the value of g is 9.8m/sec^2. However, this you have not to mention in your answer. You have to mention only the reason that why g is not taken as a factor on which potential energy depends.
