Soil having Specific Gravity less than 2.7 is used for many purposes. Two are as under:-

1. It is used in construction purposes as a major part of it is being used in concrete.

2. It can also be used for plastering, structural backfilling, as a cut off layer between embankment and underlying substratum, to remove the rust on steel etc...
