Answer:

The Kuroshio Current plays a vital role in the circulation of the North PACIFIC OCEAN. The current involves great volumes of water capable of carrying large amounts of heat. The heat, which is carried north by this flow, has an effect on climate of the adjacent land areas.

Answer:

The Kuroshio Current, which is the major western boundary current in the northwestern Pacific, is an offshoot of the North Equatorial Current in the wind-driven North Pacific Subtropical Gyre and has important effects on East Asian and global climates associated with northward thermal transport.
