Cao + H2O->Ca(OH)2

Evolution of heat

Solution turns turbide

desaikomal551: Type of reaction ..? And wht is 2nd observation

When quick lime is added to water then it form calcium hydroxide [Ca(OH)2].

It is combination reaction.

CaO+H²O____Ca(OH)²+heat

(Calcium hydroxide)

calcium oxide when reacts vigorously with water , produces slaked lime i.e calcium hydroxide.

A large amount of heat is evolved.

This is an exothermic reaction.

desaikomal551: Tell me 2nd observation and i will mark u as brainliest
Anonymous: Ok
desaikomal551: Hmm
Anonymous: Heat released
Anonymous: So it an exothermic reaction
desaikomal551: That is one ... and another ..??
Anonymous: First is combination and form calcium hydroxide
desaikomal551: Okay ..
desaikomal551: Thnx
