Law of Chemical Combination:
1) Law of Conservation of Mass and volume:It states that mass can never be created nor be destroyed.
2) Law of Definite Proportions:It states that in a given compound there are fixed ratio of elements by weight.
For Example: Oxygen and Hydrogen always bears a ratio of 16:2 or 8:1 by mass.
3) Law of Multiple Proportions:It states that if two elements combines to form more than one compound, the masses of both of the elements which combined to form more than one compound are in small whole number ratios.
For Example: Hydrogen +Oxygen = Water.
2 g +16 g = 18 g
4) Gay Lussac's Law of Combining Volumes:When gases combine in a volume and under a certain temperature and pressure they do in simple fixed ratio.
For Example: 100mL of Hydrogen +50 ml of Oxygen= 150 ml of Water.
In this way the volume that combined bear a fixed ratio 2:1.
5) Avogadro's Law: It states when gases react they react in equal volume and may contain same number of molecules. It happens in case of formation of water.
Hope it'll be helpful.
