Two measures to sustain democracy are
1. Proper legislation
2. Active participation of citizens in decision-making
And of course, the main thing- exercising the rights granted to citizens. Only then, can a democracy run smoothly as----Democracy is nothing but the rule of the people of the country through representatives!

Free and fair elections. A democracy without free and fair elections is not a democracy in true sense. Democracy is rulled by representatives of the, so if there are no free and fair elections, then government cannot be democratic.

People whole have rights and enjoy Liberty in various forms. Actions of the legislature and Constitution should be implemented properly.

People should actively take part in elections and decision making. There should be no barrier to stop them from doing so.
